Hello, and welcome to mylittledog, a blog written be me, Diana – my friends call me Didi – with the help of my beautiful dog, George.

George is a little whippet with a cold nose, a warm heart and a wagging tail. This is, primarily, his blog. It will follow him wherever his search of adventures may take him: in the big city or the green countryside, up high mountains, on sandy beaches and, of course, in his very own back garden. It will also enable me, his human, to share a myriad of ideas, opinions and thoughts about my dog, other people’s pets and everything else that populates my mind and sparks my interest.

Welcome to our world!

Yes, that's us!

  1. Hello Didi and George,

    • Hi, guys, and thanks for stopping by and for your nice comments. I’m glad I found your blog today (a happy accident!) and can’t wait to see what pretty Miss Maple will be up to in the future. Happy bark day to you, too! 🙂

You have won an award! Stop by to pick it up 🙂

    Enjoy! 🙂

    • Oh, wow, thank you so much for this wonderful surprise! I am really honoured! What do I do now? :O

      • scriptorobscura

You can post and/or display the award on your blog if you like 🙂

      • Thank you! Now that I’ve recovered from the shock, I’ve had time to work out how to put the Award picture on the blog. I’ll write a post on Monday and pass the award on to other cool blogs. I think this is a great idea and am really enjoying the game. Thanks again!

  3. I quite like your blog. I have a dog Sia, who’s mother was a whippet and father was a border collie. She is the love of my life and a extremely loyal friend. I’m going to subscribe to this blog and put you on my blog roll.

    • Thank you, Lionel. I’m glad you found me so that I can find you! I love your blog and left a comment just to show you how much. 🙂
I know a dog man (a sort of local Dog Whisperer) who is a big fan of whippet/collie crosses, and he swears that they make perfect working dogs as they inherit the speed of the whippet and the brains of the collie. I personally think that, as a mixture of my two favourite breeds, they’re also gorgeous! Are there any photos of Sia on your blog? I don’t know if I accidentally missed her whilst browsing or just haven’t got to her pictures yet.

  4. Your friend is exactly right about the whippet/collie mix, as my Sia is a great at making sure the family is taken care of, and her vocabulary is quite large. As far as her pics, If you click on “Animals” (http://spiderpaw.wordpress.com/category/animals/) at the top of my page you should find her there. In fact I am posting her portrait today. Thank you for visiting my site.

    • Yes, I finally managed to find her. She looks like a lovely, intelligent girl and I can’t wait for you to publish her portrait, so that I can have a better look.

  6. Hi Didi and George! We have two whippets, Xander and Zoe, and one greyhound, Roxie. George is adorable. Hope you swing be and check us out some time. Take care!!

    • Hi, Kristin, and thanks for stopping by. Carrie at talesandtails told me about your blog not long ago, and I’ve already checked it out. I think I even left a message then, telling you that George has fallen in love with the beautiful Zoe. I personally think that all of your three babies are gorgeous. I’ll be away next week and don’t know if I’ll have Internet access, but I’ll be visiting you regularly from when we get back. It’s nice to have found such cool whippety friends online 🙂

  7. Hi George, I’m Bones a Border Terrier puppy. I’d love to go running with you sometime, I’d probably not keep up because I’ve only got little legs but I’m pretty quick all the same. I will follow your blog with interest.
    Best wishes, Bones

    • Hi, Bones, thanks for stopping by, it’s very nice to meet you…You seem like the kind of pup George would love to play with, so I’m sure you two will be the best of friends 🙂

  8. I have dropped by to let you know that I have awarded your blog the Kreativ Blogger Award. Congratulations!

This is the link to my post announcing the award:

  9. Hey buddy! Long time no contact!

  10. Hello Lady London! You guys’ Sagas are being rerun at my blog with Frontierado coming up on August 3rd, so you’ll probably be getting some hits from it!

If you’re kind enough I would really love it if you would help spread the Frontierado word by reblogging this year’s look at Cool-Named Real-Life Gunslingers since I’m too swamped to do any new Sagas.

The article covers people like Bear River Tom and Poker Alice – http://glitternight.com/2012/07/15/four-forgotten-gunslingers-with-cool-nicknames-2/

  11. A cold nose, a warm heart, and a wagging tail – a lovely description of a cute dog…of all dogs, in fact. Bellyrubs and ear-scratches to George.
