The Money Tree

Whilst I’m working on my last recount of our camping trip in the Lake District (and catch up with my blog reading), I thought I’d share a secret…We found the key to solving the world’s economic problems: The Money Tree!!!

Money DOES grow on trees! You just have to find them.

  1. Nice! Is this particular kind of tree fast-growing?

  2. Tell me you got a bunch of seeds that you can share with us so we can all grow our own money trees! I could sure use one right now.

    • I think a lot of us could use one of these at the moment. I’m sorry to shatter your hopes, Carrie, but I don’t have any seeds…:( I would definitely share them with all my friends if I did…

  3. Hahaha…that’s a nice finding. Did you take the tree home? you don’t have to work anymore if you have it 😉

In a million years super beings will excavate this tree from a ruins. Then they will get confused and rewrite history.

    Cool pic!

  5. Hahaha! Too funny. I wonder how long it took to insert all the coins. It boggles the mind. 🙂

    • I don’t know how long it took…Because some of the coins looked new whilst others had already started to rust, I think that wasn’t the work of one man only. I reckon someone started it and then passers-by followed suit and added their own.

  6. Awesome! I’m actually a bit surprised nobody has chopped the tree down for it’s money!

    • Oh, it’s only small change, mostly 2 pence coins. I don’t know if their combined value merits the effort of taking them out of the tree (or chopping the tree down).

  7. So if we all plant bags of pennies in our back yards, in a matter of years we should have one of these growing!

  8. Kristin G.

I’d love to plant one of those! Did you happen to get any seeds? 🙂

  9. What a wonderful find. 🙂

  10. Nice find Didi. One thing’s for sure, over here in the U.S. these trees are extinct.
