Best Seats In The Field

This is my second post (out of 3, hopefully) about our trip to the Lakes, and the shortest one. Just a couple of pictures to show you what happens to us every time we go camping…

The kids always get the best seats…

…especially the youngest one:

We’ve only got two of these chairs …Which means that the adults are left with no other option but to balance on the tiniest (although pretty comfortable) stools in the world (see arrow)…

But then, we do tend to walk our kids for miles and get them rather tired, so I guess it’s only fair!

  1. Hahah, I love it! They look especially comfortable. 🙂

  2. I love your chairs! Or, I guess, I love the kids’ chairs. They look so comfortable. I’d probably fall asleep!

I am so glad everyone had such a fantastic time.

  3. I just can’t get over all the sun in your pictures. Man, with that weather, I’d be willing to sit on a spike.

Well, maybe not. But at least the ground.

    • I know, we got very lucky with the weather. We were prepared for rain, and we didn’t get one drop. Not only were we able to put the tent up and take it down dry, but we actually ended up complaining that it was too hot and sunny!

  4. That is absolutely hysterical. George looks extremely happy — and as if he knows he deserves that special chair. Really, really, cute. What great memories. Looks like an amazing trip.

    • Oh, he definitely thinks he deserves to be in the chair! He sure looks content, doesn’t he?
This holiday qualifies for the top 20 best holidays we’ve ever had. I’m looking forward to the next one now 😉

ha thats so funny. The adults will have to be quicker to plant themselves in the good chairs next time. 🙂

    • We tried that, but even when we manage to grab the seats, the looks on the kids’ faces make us decide to swap seats with them …The joys of being a parent…:)

  6. Awww so cute…I like the third photo, the two of them in the comfy chairs looking at the camera.

You should buy 2 more chair…for the adults 😉

  7. These are the most unique camping chairs I’ve ever seen. Are they both inflatable and foldable? George sure knows how to put them to good use! Now, if only he can a little helper and learn to assemble and dismantle the equipment… 😉

    • No, they’re only foldable. They are good quality, though, and therefore quite bulky. Which is why we can’t fit any more in the car (unless we leave the tent at home :))

George looks so cute there on his throne. You just have to love that handsome face of his!

  9. They look like really good Whippet chairs George, we will now be leaving messages around the H(ouse).on.W(heels) to get Annie to get ones like that…..although I usually find that Annie’s lap is the most comfortable of cushions I can find anywhere!

    Clancy and Connor

    • They’re perfect whippet chairs, with the perfect shape for whippet bodies: rounded. I hope you manage to convince Annie to get you boys a couple of them….Maybe if you tell her that this way her lap could get a bit of a rest?? 😉

  10. Man, those kids look so cozy.

    • 😀 They were cozy, those chairs are good for snoozing, especially on a cool morning, when you’ve just got up and are a bit stiff from sleeping in the tent. Or so I’ve been told by our two cheeky monkeys 😉

  11. Those are cool chairs. Shame you can’t fit a couple more in. Love how George makes himself really comfortable in ‘his’.

    • If we ever get a trailer, we’re definitely buying two more of those chairs.
Yes, George is very good at making any comfortable item or corner of the house ‘his’.

  12. George, you definitely know how to get comfortable! I think you deserve the best seat in the house.
